Carter has been creating angels for years. "Angels emote a universally
significant idea that's uniquely personal," she says. The angels in
Journey of Grace™ came from Nancy's intuitive process of letting each
piece evolve on its own. "I don't determine their outcome," she shares.
Originally sculpted in paper mache, each curve, nuance and flaw reveals
itself in the making. The results are distinctive, graceful angels that
carry their inspiring message from one heart to another.

 A wonderful
collection of richly colored, handmade painted figurines with a
distressed-wood look. The Heartwood Creek includes Santas, Angels, Cats,
Snowmen, Lighthouses and more. Of particular interest is Jim Shore's use of
quilt patterns to decorate his folk figures. He creates his popular works
of art based on his deep appreciation of handcrafted quilt and folk art
textures and by drawing on his nostalgic childhood memories. We have
more coming for this collection but thought we would let you see what has
arrived so far.
